Do some nursing homes really train you to become a certified nurse assistant?

I'm looking for a way to help others and be happy. I learned about nursing assistants. People who work in nursing homes and occasionally get your license there to help increase the amount of CNAS. Do you know of any connection with this? I did an online search for nursing homes, but it seems to want people with experience working for them. Any advice? Go to a local nursing home and talk to personeel department. I see ads in the newspaper where I live all the time to nUsing assistants and hire our local hospital and trains for the test. I think we should agree to work for them for a while. Good luck. Yes, many homes do. My mother used to be an instructor of the CNA in a nursing home. I just wanted to go to some nursing homes in your area and ask about it. Many homes have these programs, but just not widely disseminated. I warn you, but it is a very tough job! You have to change a lot of serious things like diapers, give baths, etc. and the old in nursing homes are not as they are in the movie. In movies, old people often seem as cute and / or clever, but in reality the people in nursing homes are usually very insecure and has a lot of pain. They can cause atypical. Good luck. Depending on where you live and demand CNA verse availability can play a big role in a facility, a nursing assistant certification of the class. Here where I live the high demand for CNA's, so we make a class. Find your State Nursing assistant Registry Board. You can try to start a PCA (Patient Care Attendant) No certification is required. Just keep calling home in your area and see what type and not the class from time to time with them. Hope this helped.G Good luck Hope this helps Yes, many nursing homes offer free CNA training, provided that you work for them until a certain time, this site offers a list of schools that offer CNA training www.4cnas.com You can also contact the state registry for a List of accredited CNA training programs in your area.
